Creating of a Roadmap for Localization of
Electrical Submersible Pumps
At the beginning of production from oil fields, its relatively high pressure causes oil to flow naturally to the surface without the use of external force; but over time, as reservoir pressure drops, oil production from wells declines or may even reach zero. Given that many oil and gas fields in the country have passed their half-life and have faced a decline in production, the need to use advanced technologies to increase production from these fields seems necessary.
One of the most common and efficient methods used in oil producing countries to increase the pressure and thus increase the oil recovery factor is artificial overflow using electrical submersible pumps (ESP). In Iran, the use of this type of pump in offshore fields has been common for many years. Therefore, it is really needed to localize this type of pump.
