According to the Public Relations of the Center for Progress and Development of Iran (CPDI), Dr. Mohammad Reza Mokhber Dezfouli, the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IAS), in line with Article II of the Constitution of IAS, has appointed Dr. Sajjad Ahadzadeh, the President of CPDI, as a Member of International Affairs Council of IAS.

In the Appointment Decree, Dr. Mokhber Dezfouli highlighted the Council's missions and expectations including: designing strategic plans and international general policies for IAS pertaining to its priorities in international communication, strategies and implementation plans, as well as improving the level of its international scientific cooperation.

Dr. Mokhber Dezfouli also hoped that Dr. Ahadzadeh's participation in the International Affairs Council would significantly contribute to strengthening scientific diplomacy and advancing international scientific collaboration of IAS.
